Privacy Policy
This site has one form on it and nothing to buy. Here is exactly what joining the FLOTE SMART waitlist collects, which companies ever see it, and how to get it back or get rid of it.
1. What We Collect
This site has one form on it. Everything we hold about you comes from that form, from an email you send us, or from the ordinary server logs any website produces.
1.1 What you give us
| Category | Examples | When |
|---|---|---|
| Contact | Email address | Joining the waitlist |
| Identity | First name, if you choose to give one | Joining the waitlist — the field is optional |
| Preferences | Which format you are interested in, and your answers to the three quiz questions | Taking the format quiz |
| Consent record | That you opted in, from which form, and the version of the disclosure shown to you at the time | Joining the waitlist |
| Communications | Anything you write to us | When you email support |
1.2 What is collected automatically
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Server logs | IP address, browser and device type, pages requested | Vercel, our hosting provider |
| Analytics | Pages you viewed and in what order, how you arrived, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser | Google Analytics 4 |
| Email engagement | Whether you opened an email from us or clicked a link in it | Klaviyo, our email platform |
1.3 What this site does not collect
There is nothing to buy here, so we take no payment details, no billing address and no shipping address, and there are no accounts or passwords. We run no advertising or retargeting pixels, and nothing on this site follows you to other websites. The one thing we do measure is how this site itself is used — see section 4.
2. How We Use It
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) | Data used |
|---|---|---|
| Send you launch updates and product education | Consent | Contact, identity, preferences |
| Open with the format you actually asked about | Consent | Quiz answers, preferences |
| Prove that consent was given, if we are ever asked | Legal obligation | Consent record |
| Answer your emails | Legitimate interest | Contact, communications |
| Keep the site running, fast and secure | Legitimate interest | Server logs |
We do not profile you, score you, or make automated decisions about you.
3. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done so, and if that ever changes we will say so on this page before it does.
Your data reaches five places, and only these five:
| Recipient | Why | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Klaviyo | Holds the waitlist and sends our email. Klaviyo is the system of record for this list. | Email, first name, quiz answers, consent record, email engagement |
| Vercel | Hosts the site and runs the form endpoint | Server log data |
| Google Analytics | Tells us which pages are read and which are ignored, so we know what to write next | Page views, referrer, truncated IP address, device and browser |
| Telegram | Notifies our own team channel that a signup happened, so we notice problems the same day | Email address and which form was used |
| Legal authorities | Only where the law requires it | As legally required |
Both Klaviyo and Vercel are bound by their own data-processing terms and may use your data only for the purposes we specify. FLOTE RADIANCE, our other brand, runs a separate list — joining this one does not put you on that one.
4. Cookies and Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how it is used: which pages are read, which are ignored, and how people arrive. It sets a small number of first-party cookies (names beginning “_ga”) to recognise a returning browser between visits. That is the only category of cookie this site sets — there are no advertising, retargeting or social-media cookies, and no third party is given a way to follow you off this site.
Google Analytics 4 does not record full IP addresses: your address is truncated before the data is stored, and it is used to derive an approximate city, not to identify you. We do not link analytics data to your email address or to anything you submit through the form.
Turning it off
- Block or clear cookies for this site in your browser settings.
- Install Google's official opt-out browser add-on, which stops Analytics on every site.
- Use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts — we do nothing to work around them.
Our emails are a separate matter: like almost all marketing email, they contain a tracking pixel and wrapped links, so Klaviyo records opens and clicks. Every email carries an unsubscribe link that ends this.
If we ever add an advertising pixel or any tag that tracks you across other sites, this section changes before it ships and a consent banner comes with it.
5. How Long We Keep It
| Data | Retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist profile | Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it | Sending you what you signed up for |
| Suppression record after unsubscribe | Kept indefinitely, as a minimal record | It is how we guarantee we never email you again |
| Consent record | For as long as we hold the profile | Demonstrating the opt-in was real |
| Support emails | 3 years | Service quality |
| Server logs | Short-term, per our hosting provider's retention | Security and debugging |
| Analytics data | At most 14 months, then deleted by Google | Understanding how the site is used |
| Payment details | Never — we take none | There is nothing to buy on this site |
6. Your Rights
6.1 Everyone
- Unsubscribe: use the link in any email. It takes effect immediately and needs no explanation.
- Access: ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
- Deletion: ask us to delete you. We keep only the suppression record, so that deletion does not accidentally put you back in front of a future import.
- Portability: ask for your data in a machine-readable format.
6.2 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Know what personal information we collect, use and disclose — section 1 above is that list in full.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of; if that ever changes we will publish a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link before it does.
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
6.3 Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other US state laws
You have comparable rights to access, correct, delete and opt out of targeted advertising and profiling — neither of which we do. We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as an opt-out request. Email support@flotelabs.com.
6.4 EU and UK residents (GDPR)
This is a US site and our products are not yet sold anywhere. If you visit from the EU or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local supervisory authority. The data controller is FLOTE Labs Inc..
To exercise any of these rights, email support@flotelabs.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We verify who you are and respond within 45 days.
7. Security
- TLS encryption on every request to this site.
- The form endpoint accepts only the fields listed above and drops anything else.
- API credentials live in our hosting provider's encrypted environment, never in the site's code.
- Access to the waitlist is limited to the people who need it.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure. We work to protect your data and cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
This site is intended for adults, and our products are formulated for healthy adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it promptly.
9. International Transfers
Your information is processed in the United States. If you use this site from outside the United States, you consent to that transfer. For EU and UK visitors we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes appear on this page with a revised date. If a change materially affects people already on the list — a new processor, a new category of data, anything to do with advertising — we email the list rather than relying on you to re-read this page.
11. Contact
FLOTE Labs Inc., 7901 4th Street North, Suite #100, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. Email support@flotelabs.com. We respond within 30 days, or 45 days for verifiable privacy requests.
